Culture

The Amber Roots Lithuanian Heritage Club was established to explore arts, culture, crafts, history, and current events. Its members range from native-born Lithuanians to great grandchildren of Lithuanian immigrants to enthusiasts married to individuals with Lithuanian ancestry.

Each year, various language clubs gather for 10-week courses in Lithuanian language studies. Classes range from beginner to novice levels and include conversational and written language studies.

Between 1975 and 1987, the Lithuanian Cultural Center, reading room, meeting rooms, and folk art display opened within the Lithuanian Music Hall. The Lithuanian Cultural center is home to an extensive collection of historic Lithuanian publications. These reference materials are available by appointment for reading within the library.

The Philadelphia Chapter of the Lithuanian Folk Art Institute has a permanent folk art exhibit on display within the Lithuanian Cultural center.

Lithuanian Festival

The 44th Annual Mugė was held on November 5 and 6 2023.  The festival was in full swing with a variety of vendors, presentations, entertainment and tasty Lithuanian dishes.
